Quality Assurance & Event Management Director

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To Assist the Quality Assurance & Event Management Director in fulfilling the duties of the Quality Assurance & Event Management Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assisting the Event Management Coordinator.
    – Monitor Daily reports in Electronic Reporting Systems, E-Mails, and paper.
    – Follow-up on any events reported in Electronic Reporting Systems, Emails, and paper.
    – Assist in communication between staff and management as needed to resolve any issues relating to Event Management by training/retraining and creating policies.
    – Assist in Bi-weekly Event Management Meetings, create minutes, and follow-up tracking.
    – Attend all Q meetings. Document in notes.
    – Attend all relevant ISP/PSCP or IDT meetings.
    – Complete and Submit Reportable Events to state.
    – Complete follow-up of Reportable Events including data tracking
    – Notify all relevant entities when a reportable occurs per policy.
    – Able to set and meet deadlines.

  2. Attend and pass Investigator Training to become a certified Investigator.
    – Assist in / or Complete Internal Investigations for MW/ICF Programs

  3. Monitor, review, update, and train on the Emergency Preparedness Plan
  4. Monitor for Falls and assist in the Fall Prevention Program
  5. Prepare documentation for and attend HRC Meetings
  6. Take on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis
  7. On-call for any emergency pertaining Event Management
  8. Be the lead contact when Quality Assurance & Event Management Director is unavailable
  9. Assist in State Surveys and State investigations from entrance to exit after intern is passed
  10. Have a flexible schedule for reporting and investigation needs
  11. Assist with monitoring electronic and paper data for quality and accuracy
  12. Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years’ experience with intellectually and developmentally disabled population
  • Ability to be insured as a vehicle driver by agency’s insurance program.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to write investigative reports, event reports, and corrective actions reports.
  • Good knowledge of basic English sufficient to read instructions, keep records and write reports.
  • Ability to meet all training requirements and obtain required certifications.
  • Ability to learn and utilize basic computer programs: Excel, Word, and other programs necessary for job tasks and documentation.
  • Successful completion of drug screen.
  • Successful completion of background and reference check.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions and activities of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
