REPORTS TO:

Associate Director for Finance and Human Resource in Coordination with IT Consultant.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Being the “go to” person when Comcare staff members experience computer related problems; repairing and supporting computer hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, and associated peripherals; providing software support to staff members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reimaging desktop and laptop computers in case of hard disk failures.
2. Installing, maintaining, updating, and repairing computer hardware and software.
3. Installing, updating, and troubleshooting off-the-shelf applications such as Microsoft Office.
4. Installing and updating service packs and critical updates for computer using the Microsoft Windows operating system platform.
5. Diagnosing, repairing and testing computer and printer problems including replacing commonly accessible parts.
6. Troubleshooting Comcare’s internal local area network as well as various satellite VPN/Bomgar connections.
7. Using Windows Server Active Directory to maintain users, passwords, network shares, and security options for network files and shares.
8. Monitoring and maintaining backup systems and verifying their integrity.
9. Training staff members on how to use their computers and/or their software programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.
Work experience in a job-related area.
Ability to be insured as a vehicle driver by agency’s insurance program.
A valid Tennessee Driver’s license.
Good knowledge of basic English sufficient to read instructions, keep records and write reports.
Successful completion of background and reference check.
Successful completion of a drug screen.
Ability to perform the essential functions and activities of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
