Health Services

Comcare’s Health Service Department strives to provide quality healthcare for the people we serve. Our Health Service Department consists of a Director and Assistant Director of Health Services, Health Coordinators, RNs, and LPNs. We do what we love and love what we do! We encourage all people supported to have a voice in their healthcare as well as educating them in the best way possible about their health and promoting independence. We play an important role in helping people achieve good physical and mental health so all people supported can prosper. This includes assisting people with taking their medications and keeping up with all health-related appointments. Our department ensures all plans of care are followed and help assist with properly using any medical equipment needed. We enjoy seeing the people we support live their best life possible. Not only are we their nurses and health coordinators, but we proudly advocate for them.

Meet Our Medical Team

Christina Deloach, RN – Director of Health Services

I have been with Comcare since 2001, beginning my career as support staff. While working, I returned to school to earn my LPN and later my RN. More than 20 years later, I’m grateful for the professional growth and meaningful experiences I’ve gained along the way. It truly feels as though the people Comcare supports and I have grown up together. I’ve valued the lifelong friendships formed over the years and the opportunity to support such wonderful individuals. I have a deep passion for nursing and especially enjoy teaching, mentoring, and remaining directly involved in hands-on care. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, caring for my chickens, and spending quality time with my family.

Marie Archer, LPN – Assistant Director of Health Services

With over 13 years at Comcare and a nursing career that began in 1976, I bring decades of experience—and plenty of stories—to my work. What I love most about nursing is its unpredictability: you never know what the day will bring, and having the knowledge and experience to respond effectively to any situation is both challenging and rewarding. Nursing has given me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day, and I feel fortunate to continue doing what I love alongside an amazing team.

Angela Johnson, LPN
Hi, my name is Angie Johnson, I have worked for Comcare for 13 years. Just a little about myself I’m a Mimi of 4 precious grandchildren, Brady 17, Carter 16, Lilah and Landry 10-year-old twins. Dan is my husband and my best friend. I am very active in my church, which I love. Before I came to Comcare, I worked with 2 Doctors in Specialized Treatment  and in Long-term Care. This is by far my most rewarding job. I have never been so amazed at how the individuals I serve teach me every day. They love unconditionally and forgive freely this is something we could all learn from. They have become a special part of my life, and I consider it a privilege to serve them.
Anne Hughes, LPN

I’ve been here for seven years and I’ve spent the past 24 years working as a nurse. Throughout my career, the most rewarding part of nursing has been knowing that I’ve made a meaningful difference in someone’s life. At the same time, the connections I’ve built with patients and their families have deeply enriched my own life in ways I never expected.

Brenda Whaley, LPN

For the past 18 years, I have proudly served at Comcare, embracing its mission to enhance quality of life by advocating for those we support and providing personalized training and services. I am committed to empowering the people I support to exercise choices and control over how they wish to live their lives. Through compassionate, person-centered care, I strive to promote dignity, independence, and meaningful community inclusion every day.

Crystal Gosnell – ICF Health Services Coordinator

I started working at Comcare in 2008. I began as Support Staff, then moved into Job Coaching, later transitioned to Scheduling, and now serve in my current role as ICF HSC. Each position has brought special memories with the people I have supported—and continue to support—throughout the years. I’ve had the pleasure of accompanying individuals to Disney World, Dollywood, the Dolly Stampede, Brights Zoo, the movies, Flyboys baseball games, a Harlem Globetrotters game, prom, and many dinners out. These experiences have created lasting memories that I truly cherish. The people I support have also helped me through some difficult times in my own life. Comcare introduced me to an incredible group of individuals whom I have the honor of caring for—whether that means scheduling appointments or assisting them at special events. They are my number one priority. No matter what life brings, I know I always have a special group of people who uplift and inspire me.

Jessica Honeycutt, LPN
Hello, I’m Jessica Honeycutt, weekend nurse for Erwin, TN – Unicoi Co. I’ve worked double-shifts weekends here at Comcare since Dec. 1, 2011 when began as staff then I went onto nursing school & graduated Aug. 2015 & continued to remain here at Comcare. I truly admire our company. We are family. I have 4 children (3 sons & 1 daughter: ages 1,5,15,17). Life is busy but a pure blessing.
I am passionate about problem-solving, building things hands-on, hard-work ethic, and delivering quality care to the best of my ability as well as  I commit to our care pledge. Tomorrow is never promised, so let’s enjoy this wonderful life together that God has blessed us with!
Kelsie Clark, RN
I have been with Comcare since 2013. I started out as a DSP, went to school for LPN and now work as an RN. I have enjoyed watching the people we support learn, grow, and achieve their goals throughout the years. Learning to live their healthiest and happiest life brings joy to mine. Outside of Comcare, I like to spend time with my friends, traveling, and loving on my sweet pup.  I am driven by a strong commitment to problem-solving and hands-on involvement in my work. Delivering compassionate, high-quality care is at the heart of what I do. Life is a gift and never guaranteed, so I believe in making the most of each day and appreciating the blessings we share.
Kera Davis, LPN
I have been with Comcare since August 2014, beginning my journey as a DSP, working directly in the homes and supporting them in their daily lives. In that role, I learned that true care begins with listening AND understanding each person’s unique strengths, goals, preferences, and abilities. Those early experiences shaped my commitment to person-centered support and inspired me to further my education to become an LPN in 2017. Nursing has allowed me to deepen my advocacy and provide compassionate, individualized care that honors dignity, independence, and choices. It is both an honor and a privilege to walk alongside the people we support as they pursue their goals, celebrate their successes, and live meaningful lives on their own terms. I remain dedicated to empowering each person to thrive in ways that are important to them.
Marissa Buckner, LPN
I’ve been at Comcare for a little over six years and have worked as a nurse for the past three. What I enjoy most about nursing is the opportunity to build meaningful, close connections with the people we serve. Being able to support them each day and help provide the compassionate, personalized care they need is incredibly rewarding and reminds me why I chose this profession.
Madison Buckner, LPN

I have been with Comcare since 2020. I started out as direct support with my CNA certification, and I went back to school becoming a nurse in 2022. It has been an honor and a blessing to work with such an amazing team to support individuals and their families and to foster an environment conducive to health, growth, and developing new skills. I want to give God all the glory and thank Him for giving me these opportunities to serve, to be a helping hand and an advocate for those in need, in Jesus’ name.

Summer Johnson, LPN
Hi, I’m Summer! I’m a proud mom of two, and have been part of the Comcare family for 9 years, with the past 5 years dedicated to nursing. What I love most about nursing is the meaningful relationships I get to build with the people I support. Being present in their daily lives, offering hands-on care, and helping them thrive, whether through big accomplishments or small, everyday moments, truly makes my work rewarding.
Tina Solgovic – Med Waiver Health Services Coordinator
I just celebrated my 20th year here at Comcare. When I first began, I was support staff and I also did some job coaching, which I also really enjoyed. I have now been in my current position for 18 years. I’m one of the Health Services coordinators for Med-Waiver. My favorite part of my job is helping the people I work with to advocate for themselves during their medical appt’s. I’ve seen a lot of beneficial changes throughout the years and I hope to see that continue. During my down time I enjoy gardening and spending time with my grandchildren.
Valerie Teachout-Knight, RN
I have proudly served as a nurse at Comcare for the past six years. The most rewarding part of my role is witnessing the people we support develop new skills, overcome obstacles, and realize their full potential. I am passionate about empowering those we serve to grow, achieve their goals, and live as independently and fully as possible. It is truly an honor to work alongside such a dedicated team of professionals who genuinely care about the work they do.
